T-ball and Baseball

2026 Season runs March 16th-May 8th. Games start the week of April 13th and typically consist of 1 game per week. This is a co-ed league.

Waterville T-ball and Rookies Baseball is a part of the Eastmont Youth Baseball program. Please do NOT sign up with Eastmont Youth Baseball if you wish to participate with the Waterville Team. Waterville Youth Sports is given the opportunity to form our own team to make coordinating practices in Waterville possible, and we then pay a league fee to Eastmont Youth Sports. All games are played in East Wenatchee. Here is Eastmont Youth Baseball’s most current information provided by age/division:

T-ball (ages 5-6 by April 30, 2026):

A program recommended for 5 and 6 year olds to teach the fundamentals of hitting and fielding.  All batters will hit the ball from a batting tee which is adjusted to a height that allows the batter to swing level.  All rostered players present for the game bat in order, whether playing defensively or not.  Each player plays a minimum of two innings defensively or one hour on the field.  An adult coach is stationed beyond the infielders in order to provide instruction to all defensive players.  The primary goal is to begin to instruct young players in the fundamentals of baseball in a supportive team environment. 

*Gear needed for T-Ball: Baseball Mitt, athletic/baseball pants, athletic shoes/tennis shoes

Additional optional gear:  Baseball helmet, bat, belt, socks

**Shared batting helmets, bats, balls and a tee are provided by WYS/coaches.

Coaches: Matt and Aja Graham

Rookies (ages 7-8 by April 30, 2026):

The emphasis of this division is learning the game and having fun, not competition. Score is not kept and umpires will be utilized if available. The Rookie division is intended to continue basic instructional training to young players, while allowing them to develop batting and base-running skills. This division will utilize a combination of player pitch and coach pitch. The Rookie division is open to players 7 and 8 years old. Each team is made up of no less than 12 players. Each team will have one manager/head coach and up to two assistant coaches.

*Gear needed for Rookies: Baseball Mitt, athletic/baseball pants, cleats

Additional optional gear:  Baseball helmet, baseball bat, socks, belt, catchers glove and gear (if your player wants to play catcher)

**Shared batting helmets, bats, balls, are provided by WYS/coaches.

Currently, we do not have coaches for the Minors (9 & 10 Year Olds) and Majors (11 & 12 Year Olds) divisions. If you would like to coach or need help forming a team, PLEASE reach out to us! If we don’t have parents/community members volunteer to coach, we can’t offer teams. THANK YOU!
